This weekend I had the great pleasure to visit one of Paris’ many less known treasures, Le musée Cognacq-Jay.
What made this visit particularly special was the exhibition ‘Lights: carte blanche to Christian Lacroix’. The exhibition presented seamlessly art pieces and clothes from the 18th century together with more contemporary works from artists like Christian Lacroix, Vivienne Westwood, Manolo Blahnik and Tim Walker. And the best part was the dialogue between art from different centuries. It is amazing how they could create such a harmonious exhibition with this eclectic mixture. And you have to remember that the four store museum itself is a wonderful piece of art from the 16th century.
If you happen to be in -or are coming to- Paris before the 19th of April 2015, you should definitely visit this extraordinary place and exhibition.
